Hot stamping forming technology is based on the principle of metal thermoplastic forming, which can realize quenching heat treatment of the sheet material at the same time of forming, improve the forming performance of the material, and greatly expand the application scope of high-strength ultra-high-strength steel in auto parts.
Parts using the cold stamping process have a relatively large degree of freedom in shape design, and can form parts with the required shape and size through 3-5 processes. In principle, hot stamping of steel plate can only be stamped in one step, so the shape design of the part should fully consider its process characteristics. For the middle channel parts with deep stamping depth and great difficulty in forming, cold stamping can be used for pre-forming first, and then hot stamping is carried out, but the equipment investment and parts price will be relatively high.
hot stamping die
Different from cold stamping dies and hot stamping dies in the traditional sense, the dies required for new steel hot stamping technology have their particularities. The core technology is reflected in:
1. Due to the high assembly accuracy requirements of body stamping parts, the thermal expansion and cold contraction effect of the steel plate needs to be considered when designing the mold surface, and an effective compensation scheme should be adopted.
2. The flow of cooling water, etc.;
3. Die block and precision assembly technology based on processing technology, especially drilling technology;
4. Effective solution to mold cooling water leakage.
There are no more than 20 manufacturers in the world that can successfully design and manufacture hot stamping dies for steel plates, and implement strict technical protection and blockade. There are very few people in China who have access to the internal structure of such molds and do not have the ability to design such molds.
